Coined by moral decline and decadence, the last decades resulted in a revaluation of traditional values and raised several questions of civilizational extend. Out of this reason, Scyldings and Konsequent Frei have partnered together to create the Karlstage, an unprecedented academic conference where the problems we are faced with can be discussed. An era of renewal and resurgence is dawning, provoking the theme “A Road to Rebirth” for this first inaugural event at a marvellous location in Saxony. What paths should we take? What kind of man will lead us?
We are pleased that Schattenmacher, Boris von Morgenstern, Türmer, Lavader, A Walrus and Sargon of Akkad will all speak at the event. Moreover, Krautzone will be present with a stand. More names will be announced in the future, but some speaker slots remain reserved for previously unknown talents. More names will be announced in the future, but some speaker slots remain reserved for previously unknown talents.
Applicants can submit speech pitches until February 23rd to karlstage@scyldings.com. Those passing in the pitches we think fit the theme best, will be offered to speak at the event. Pitches we like but do not quite make it in the end, should be extended into an essay and will be published in the event book. All speakers are granted free entrance to the conference.
All tickets include access to all the talks, overnight accommodation for the Friday and Saturday nights, breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, dinner on Friday and Saturday and parking during all three days.
Every attendee should buy their own ticket. The ticket type only decides the number of people which you'll are roomed with. Single ticket holders are accommodated in their own room whereas double ticket holders will share a two-bed room with another attendee. With obvious modifications, the same is true for triple tickets. If particular friends want to be roomed, all involved should write an email to thunar@scyldings.com.
We encourage everyone to dress their best for the event.
